Hope you've been well! The world of Cytress has been full of fun and excitement. From day 1, we got to know a lot of incredible people that helped Cytress develop into the game we are so thrilled to be presenting to our backers.

BackerKit Surveys were out only for a couple weeks, and today a whopping 74% of our backers filled in their surveys! Well done, Cytress Squad! 🥳

Since we want to get your Cytress Board Game quickly to you, we will close the surveys by the end of August 2022.

After the Pledge Manager closes, you will still be able to update your shipping address before shipping starts. Don't worry if you need  the game ship to a different address. We will send a reminder out before  shipping starts to update any shipping addresses.

Hurry up and have your orders finalized by that day! What does that mean? Choose your own Cytress Experience, by leveling up your board game experience with additional travel packs, mission packs, character packs, and more!

Can't find the survey ...😟

Keep calm, and don't panic! We have your back:

• Double-check the email you signed in to Kickstarter
• If you authenticate through Facebook, check your Facebook login email.
• Add BackerKit email to your address book and make sure you have not marked the email as spam.
• Search inbox, spam folder, or archive for emails with the  following subject lines:   Response Needed -- Get your reward for  Project Name or Reminder -- Response needed to deliver your reward for  Project Name

Update Your Apple ID Email🍎

If you have logged in with your Apple ID, but do not have an Apple  Pay account, check out the steps below to make sure you receive your BackerKit survey.

1. Open the following link: https://cytress.backerkit.com/faq#contact-us 
2. Fill in your current Apple ID email under the "What is your email?" section.
3. Select the "I am having trouble filling out my survey" option.
4. Request BackerKit to change your current Apple ID email to the new one.

The Cytress District 📝

Cytress (aka Cyberpunk fortress) is a former megacolony for megacorp head officers, the fortress had become a distant relic of a past long gone. People came in droves as soon as Stratos became operational. Soon, it became an ideal place for fugitives, criminals, and people who simply wanted to dump their old lives to start a new one. 

We realised that some of the district names and personalities didn't quite fit the tone and plot that we were going for, so some revisions were required to bring the gameplay as closely as possible to the primary storyline.  And after some twist and turns, we were finally able to tie everything together succinctly. I'd like to introduce you to the Cytress district board.

The Stratos Tower 🏙

Stratos is a skyhab that was built to protect wealthy communities from the ever-growing unrest felt by the ordinary citizens. We heard from our backers that the Stratos floors between the different tiered levels felt similar in their function, and it was a sign that a little differentiation was needed.  As a result, we decided to go back and alter the some game design of the floors. 

The goal was to make Stratos not just another 'tree' that was nice to look at but instead was integral part of the gameplay and thematic immersion. We think the Stratos tower is now more unique than ever!

Surprise Demo at Gen Con (Aug 6th & 7th) 📸

Yes, you read that right. We will be having a demo at Gencon! The largest tabletop game convention in North America. Come down to our booth #2609, with Good Games Publishing. We'll be there for the weekend (6-7th August)! We'll be happy to give you a teach of the game as well as answer any question you might have about Cytress. Would love to see you there!

What's next?

August's a particularly important month for us as we’ve got a couple of  things planned. If all goes well, here’s what you can expect in the coming weeks:

•  Edited Rulebooks: By our next update,  we’re aiming to complete copyediting for the rulebooks and send it to our proofreader for a final review. Besides this, we’ll also make the rulebooks publicly available, so if you’d like to look through them and help us catch errors, that would be very appreciated!
•  Tabletop Simulator Mods: Alongside the rulebooks, we’ll also be sharing the updated TTS mods. You’ll have access to all Cytress content through these mods, including the  Solo mode! We can’t wait to hear  what you think of the updated version of the game.

In short, there’s lots of things happening in the next update, so be sure to keep a look out! And if you’re looking to get involved, there are absolutely many things we could use your help on, especially with the rulebooks… there’s always a typo or two that’ll sneak past despite  our copyeditor and proofreader’s best efforts!

Hello, Cyberpunkers!

After endless hours of planning and testing, I am super excited to announce, "BackerKit Surveys are out now!" 🎊 Soon you will receive an email titled "Cytress BackerKit Survey" with a unique link to your  BackerKit survey. So look out for our email. 📨

What is BackerKit? and Why?

BackerKit is a platform that allows crowdfunding campaign creators like us to control the campaign fulfillment process. The survey helps us finalize your reward preferences as well as shipping details.

Where Is My Survey? 🕵️‍♀️

Still no sign of your email? As one of my favorite cyberpunk characters,  Johnny Silverhand from Cyberpunk 2077 would say, "Don't panic!" Give it 24 hours or so.

Although we have tested the survey over 100 times, BackerKit advises sending out "Smoke Tests" — just in case something unexpected and unforeseen comes up. To make the survey process user-friendly and hassle-free, we've decided to send out the survey to 5% of our backers.  And if nothing pops-up within a few hours, BackerKit will send out the rest of the surveys in batches. • Make sure you are logged into the email you use for Kickstarter. Not sure of the email? Go to Kickstarter and check under the "Settings" menu here

FAQ's❓❗

• When should I reply to the survey?

ASAP!⏰ The sooner you fill in the survey, the sooner we will know how many copies, and add-ons we will ship, and where to. The information will help us quickly organize the production process.

• Can I upgrade my reward to another Experience?

Sure! You can update your pledge level from inside the survey. Check out the video we've posted.

• How do I select my add-ons?

Once you finish answering the initial questions, you'll be redirected to the screen with all possible Add-ons. Select the ones you want to add to your reward and click the "Add to Cart" button.

• I want to change my shipping address. Can I do that?

Sure you can. You can make changes to the shipping address at any time before we close the surveys. Once locked, you'll not be able to make any changes.

• I cannot find my survey! Please help?

Click here https://cytress.backerkit.com/ and fill in the email you use for Kickstarter to retrieve your survey.

• I have more questions, who can help with answers?

Timeline Update

We are still on track with production and, as informed, plan to start the manufacturing in late August! We will keep you updated. Most probably our next update will come in the next few weeks with some really amazing news.

Hey Cytress Fam! 

We can’t thank you enough for all of your love and support! We are  excited to announce that we have raised over AU$109,000 from 1090 of our beloved backers. From designing and becoming a publisher to make this game we designed  and tested for 4 years into a reality - it’s a dream come true. From the  bottom of our hearts, thank you! We can't wait to bring Cytress to your table.

Now What’s Next? Steps 1-2-3

We know some of you are very experienced with Kickstarter, but we are  also aware we have many first-time backers with us, and we would like  to let you know the next 3 steps of the process.

1. Payments

Kickstarter will now process your payment. This can take up to 10-14  days for the payments to be processed. We don't have any control over  this process as it will be in the hands of the Kickstarter platform. So  please be patient!

FAQ: What happens if my payment failed?

Kickstarter will email you with steps on what to do. This can  happen if your card has expired or the payment has been flagged as fraud, these are some solutions that can help:

• Check to see if you are logged into your Kickstarter account
• Try using another card if you are having issues with the first one
• Contacting your bank to resolve issues with your card

Follow the steps Kickstarter advises, and they will re-charge your card in a few days. If the problem persist, email [email protected]. If it that doesn't work, email us [email protected]

2. Pledge Manager

In the next month or so, we will email you a link to our Pledge Manager and instructions on how to use the Pledge Manager.

It will be on website where you will be able to login and manage your pledge to Cytress. This will allow you to:

• Enter your shipping address + phone number
• Add additional items, including multiple copies of the game and add-ons, to your pledge
• Pay the remaining balance

3. Making the Game

We've taken note of your feedback and will carefully consider them over the next several days as we rest up. We will then be back to working on getting the game finalized and into  production! As we finish up the development process, we will keep you  informed with updates here on Kickstarter once a month even if there's not a lot to report.

We just passed 600 backers in our campaign! Thank you for all your support!

It has been fun seeing you all choose between the two options and guiding Lofty's decisions. If you have enjoyed the interactive storyline in the updates, you'll definitely see more of that in the Cyberpunk & Narrative experience as they are part of the mission books. So don't miss out here!

Let's continue our Story

The next few choices will be very important... 

Word on the street is that someone has hijacked a Cybra-Protech Corpocrat, a high-ranking agent in fact. Rumour says it’s some low-level gang who’s trying to make a name from themselves— well, we all know who's really behind it.

 As a megacorp, Caldersson TransComm Inc doesn’t want to get their hands dirty, especially in the Fortress, which congles call “Cytress” so Grady approaches you and asks for your help. He wants you to (a) retrieve this hardware and (b) eliminate the Privateers on 54th Street. 

 Option A: Accept the offer. Infiltrate the privateer’s compound, eliminate any hostiles that get into your way, and retrieve ‘Coordinates’. 

Option B: Meet with the leader of the privateer and make an offer he can’t resist: Lure Grady and his agents in the compound and ambush them. They can keep whatever loot they acquire from the dead. In exchange, you get 20% of how much the 'Coordinates' will cost in the Underbelly.
