Cytress Pledge Manager: BackerKit Surveys Are Out! Check Your Emails 🎊
over 2 years ago – Sat, Jul 02, 2022 at 04:41:00 AM

Hello, Cyberpunkers!

After endless hours of planning and testing, I am super excited to announce, "BackerKit Surveys are out now!" 🎊 Soon you will receive an email titled "Cytress BackerKit Survey" with a unique link to your  BackerKit survey. So look out for our email. 📨

What is BackerKit? and Why?

BackerKit is a platform that allows crowdfunding campaign creators like us to control the campaign fulfillment process. The survey helps us finalize your reward preferences as well as shipping details.

Where Is My Survey? 🕵️‍♀️

Still no sign of your email? As one of my favorite cyberpunk characters,  Johnny Silverhand from Cyberpunk 2077 would say, "Don't panic!" Give it 24 hours or so.

Although we have tested the survey over 100 times, BackerKit advises sending out "Smoke Tests" — just in case something unexpected and unforeseen comes up. To make the survey process user-friendly and hassle-free, we've decided to send out the survey to 5% of our backers.  And if nothing pops-up within a few hours, BackerKit will send out the rest of the surveys in batches. Otherwise, click here to retrieve your survey: https://cytress.backerkit.com/

Once you finish answering the initial questions, you'll be redirected to the screen with all possible Add-ons. Select the ones you want to add to your reward and click the "Add to Cart" button.

Sure you can. You can make changes to the shipping address at any time before we close the surveys. Once locked, you'll not be able to make any changes.

Timeline Update

We are still on track with production and, as informed, plan to start the manufacturing in late August! We will keep you updated. Most probably our next update will come in the next few weeks with some really amazing news.

Once again, THANK YOU for your patience and support since day 1.

Have a great day ahead!

Thank you 1,090 times for helping us raise over $100K!!!

Hey Cytress Fam!

We can’t thank you enough for all of your love and support! We are  excited to announce that we have raised over AU$109,000 from 1090 of our beloved backers. From designing and becoming a publisher to make this game we designed  and tested for 4 years into a reality - it’s a dream come true. From the  bottom of our hearts, thank you! We can't wait to bring Cytress to your table.

Now What’s Next? Steps 1-2-3

We know some of you are very experienced with Kickstarter, but we are  also aware we have many first-time backers with us, and we would like  to let you know the next 3 steps of the process.

1. Payments

Kickstarter will now process your payment. This can take up to 10-14  days for the payments to be processed. We don't have any control over  this process as it will be in the hands of the Kickstarter platform. So  please be patient!

FAQ: What happens if my payment failed?

Kickstarter will email you with steps on what to do. This can  happen if your card has expired or the payment has been flagged as fraud, these are some solutions that can help:

  • Check to see if you are logged into your Kickstarter account
  • Try using another card if you are having issues with the first one
  • Contacting your bank to resolve issues with your card

Follow the steps Kickstarter advises, and they will re-charge your card in a few days. If the problem persist, email [email protected]. If it that doesn't work, email us [email protected]

2. Pledge Manager

In the next month or so, we will email you a link to our Pledge Manager and instructions on how to use the Pledge Manager.

It will be on website where you will be able to login and manage your pledge to Cytress. This will allow you to:

  • Enter your shipping address + phone number
  • Add additional items, including multiple copies of the game and add-ons, to your pledge
  • Pay the remaining balance

3. Making the Game

We've taken note of your feedback and will carefully consider them over the next several days as we rest up. We will then be back to working on getting the game finalized and into  production! As we finish up the development process, we will keep you  informed with updates here on Kickstarter once a month even if there's not a lot to report.

Thank you so much once again and until next update!

Sean

You Found THE 'Key'

Hi there!

We just passed 600 backers in our campaign! Thank you for all your support!

It has been fun seeing you all choose between the two options and guiding Lofty's decisions. If you have enjoyed the interactive storyline in the updates, you'll definitely see more of that in the Cyberpunk & Narrative experience as they are part of the mission books. So don't miss out here!

Our friend Dani has also made a super cool video on Cytress about its table presence, check it out!

Let's continue our Story

The next few choices will be very important...

Word on the street is that someone has hijacked a Cybra-Protech Corpocrat, a high-ranking agent in fact. Rumour says it’s some low-level gang who’s trying to make a name from themselves— well, we all know who's really behind it.

As a megacorp, Caldersson TransComm Inc doesn’t want to get their hands dirty, especially in the Fortress, which congles call “Cytress” so Grady approaches you and asks for your help. He wants you to (a) retrieve this hardware and (b) eliminate the Privateers on 54th Street.

Option A: Accept the offer. Infiltrate the privateer’s compound, eliminate any hostiles that get into your way, and retrieve ‘Coordinates’.

Option B: Meet with the leader of the privateer and make an offer he can’t resist: Lure Grady and his agents in the compound and ambush them. They can keep whatever loot they acquire from the dead. In exchange, you get 20% of how much the 'Coordinates' will cost in the Underbelly.

Which option would you pick? Comment below.

Update #8: More Languages! New Rewards & The Story
over 2 years ago – Mon, May 23, 2022 at 05:27:18 PM

Hi Cyberpunkers,

We're down to the last week of the campaign! I'm extremely grateful for the love and support. We appreciate all of you including those who joined us from the beginning and those who just joined. Here is a summary of our journey so far:

Embracing the theme

It's amazing to see so many of you engaging in our challenges and coming up with unique ways to further your understanding of the themes. We can't wait to see more!

More Languages

All components in Cytress have been designed with a beautiful & intuitive visual language that's easy to learn. To expand Cytress' availability, translations for the rulebook will be available digitally in these additional languages. French, German, Mandarin, Italian.

Component Updates

You played, we listened.  Thank you to everyone who has tried Cytress out in the last few days and provided us with such positive feedback.

Here are some of the most recent updates:

  • District board have been restructured for improved clarity.
  • Resource board have increased in size to allow for easier maneuverability.
  • The design of the Stratos tower has been improved in order to maintain its structural integrity.

Please note: The design is not final and our graphic designer may tweak  the design slightly. We will keep you all updated on any changes!

Get Rewarded for sharing Cytress around!

Cytress  was created for individuals looking for a cyberpunk tableau building  game with RPG aspects and thematic immersion, and we want to give back  to those who've been with us from the start.

As a result,  we're providing a commission-based program that you can join to earn  rewards. I'm confident you'll be able to help us achieve greater  heights.

We can only accept a certain number of people, so don't share this with anyone else. Let's take Cytress to the next level.

 Story Time

So you've secured the coordinates, but they're as useless as dirt without a Netprowler (hacker). Though some of them can be found in the underbelly. Tricky is part is, they prefer to remain anonymous. However, part of the deal was to sell it on the black market to the highest bidder, of course the privateer promises that you’ll be paid handsomely, the 20% that was agreed...

This gritty privateer for the Hikaro Enhancement Tech has again contacted you and explained that she needs someone who’s capable of tracking and securing a buyer for the coordinates, namely a Netprowler. According to her, one was last seen in Downtown Underbelly. The privateer offered that you can name whatever item or people you need for the job and they’ll provide it for you. She wants you to secure this deal at all costs. If the deal doesn't go through, you are expected return to her with the Netprowler’s finger or eye, the privateer will pay you double.

Option A: Accept the mission and travel to the underbelly to secure the deal. Also, take the Netprowler down at your own discretion.

Option B: Track and find Gehafar, the Netprowler. Instead of killing him, you let him go and tell him about the privateers’ plan. Convince him that you’ll get back to the her if he promises to decipher the coordinates for you—access points that would get you into Stratos.

Which option would you pick? Comment below.

Day 6: This is the way
over 2 years ago – Sat, May 07, 2022 at 10:14:15 AM

Hi Cytress Squad,

Today we'll doing a QnA with one of our team members here at Cytress. We'll be having a chat with my marketing wiz on how we met and what got her into this cyberpunk fortress!

Thanks for coming on Dina!

Let's continue...

There is no turning back now. Getting rid of a high-ranking hooliganger placed a target on your back. The hooligangs are on high alert, with tighter security around their warehouses, they've doubled their forces and have their eyes at the gates 24/7. Things will get harder from here with the hooligangs.

After the previous job you just pulled, you received an anonymous call from another corpocrat agent. She wants you to take out a high-ranking corpocrat rival. She pays you half upfront and sends you his Grid coordinates, which is an open-neural line connected to his workplace.

  • Option A: You accept the job and plant an untraceable virus that jams causes every neural techware implant to overload, killing him instantly.

  • Option B: You hack into the agent’s account and plant the virus in her Grid coordinate. The moment she jacks in, you threaten her about the trap and coerce her to pay double the fee. After she makes the payment, you release the virus against her.

Which option would you pick? Comment below.
